About this Wing
The Family Security Scheme is the fraternity-run social security scheme of the doctors of Andhra Pradesh. Founded in 1990 at Hyderabad and serving the members of IMA Andhra Pradesh since 2003, it is governed entirely by doctors and run without profit — there is no agent commission, the accounts are audited, and the term contributions collected from members go to the families the scheme protects.
On the demise of a member, a substantial benefit is paid to the registered nominee with the minimum of paperwork and within a defined period. Membership is open to member doctors of IMA Andhra Pradesh, and the scheme covers doctors in every district of the state.
The scheme operates in three categories — Platinum (PL), Premier (PR) and Primary (PY) — and today protects more than 4,500 active members and their families.
